At BTIT, we aim to provide fast and reliable delivery of our online and broadband services. This delivery policy outlines how we provision and activate services for both residential and business customers in New Zealand.
Service Activation Timeframes
- Residential Broadband:
- Standard installations are usually completed within 5-10 business days of receiving your order, depending on location and infrastructure availability.
- Business Broadband:
- Installations typically take 10-15 business days due to additional configuration or special requirements.
- Online Storage
- Activations typically take 1 business day unless there are additional configuration, unplanned capacity or special requirements.
- Managed Business Applications
- Installation typically takes 3-5 business days depending on the customer requirements.
We will notify you if there are any delays beyond the expected timeframe.
Delivery Process
- Order Confirmation
- After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details and an estimated installation or activation date.
Scheduling Installation
- If installation is required, our support team will contact you to schedule a convenient time.
- You or an authorised person must be available on-site during installation.
Remote Activation (if applicable)
- If the service can be activated remotely, we will notify you when the setup is complete and provide login instructions.
Missed Appointments
- If you are not available at the scheduled installation time, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
- Missed appointments without prior notice may incur a rescheduling fee.
Delays and Issues
- In case of unexpected delays due to infrastructure availability, weather, or other external factors, we will inform you promptly and provide a revised delivery date.
- We will work closely with external providers such as Chorus to minimise delays and keep you updated.
Cancellations and Changes
- You may cancel or amend your order prior to installation or activation without penalty.
